Maximum battery life

The standard hearing aid battery lasts for 3 to 22 days, depending on the type of hearing aid, the type and capacity of the battery, and the frequency of using the hearing aid.

Replace the battery

Depending on how often you use the hearing aid, you may need to replace the battery once a week or twice a month. You should replace the battery if any of the following occurs:

• the sound becomes distorted or you have to increase the volume of the hearing aid more than normal.

• the “low battery” beep or voice sound is on, indicating that the battery is low and should be replaced. Switch to a new battery as soon as you hear the sound.

Note: the batteries should be removed immediately to prevent them from expanding and then difficult to remove.

Protective seal

You may have noticed that each battery in the package has a small sticky label in orange or other colors. These protective seals prevent the battery from discharging, so do not remove the seal unless you are using the battery. In addition, never buy an open battery pack, because the battery is very likely to be damaged.

Let the battery breathe

It is recommended to allow the battery to stand for about 1 minute before inserting the hearing aid. Note that this helps to charge the battery, but may not directly extend battery life.

How to minimize battery leakage

Once you remove the protective seal from the battery, it begins to discharge; however, there are three things that can help minimize battery drain.

1. Close or open the battery cover without hearing aid. Please note that you should always open the battery door at night to prevent moisture from escaping and to help protect the battery from corrosion.

2. If the hearing aid is not used for a long time, please take out the battery completely. You can store it in the hearing aid protection box.

3. Avoid storing batteries and hearing aids in extreme temperature, hot and cold environments, as they can quickly drain battery power and shorten battery life.
