The IP protection level system is drafted by IEC, which prevents the electrical appliances from dust and foreign objects (including tools, human fingers, etc.) from touching the live parts in the electrical appliances to avoid electric shock. ）Classified according to the characteristics of invasion, moisture resistance and water resistance. The IP protection level is composed of two numbers. The first number indicates the level of dust-proof and foreign intrusion prevention of electrical appliances, and the second number indicates the level of airtightness of electrical appliances against moisture and water intrusion. The larger the number, the higher the protection level.

Ipxx dust proof and waterproof grade

The protection level adopts the IP ×× level standard recommended by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and the level is different in different installation sites. In the level standard, “×” is two digits, the first digit indicates the protection level for solid and the second digit indicates the protection level for liquid. There are 7 levels of solid protection, represented by 0-6; 9 levels of liquid protection, represented by 0-8.

Waterproof level (the second X indicates) 0: no protection

1: there is no effect when water drops into the shell

2: when the shell is inclined to 15 degrees, the water drop into the shell has no effect

3: no influence of water or rainwater from 60 ° corner to the shell

4: the liquid splashed to the shell from any direction has no harm effect

5: wash with water without any harm

6: can be used in the cabin environment

7: it can withstand water immersion in a short time (1m)

8: immersion for a long time under a certain pressure
